So i have been absent from this whole shooting match for a while and i just started playing with the new software. All of the new functionality is blowing my mind, however, i have been running a weird version of opensprints these last six months up here in Vancouver and have fallen in love with the clock face race display, as well as auto sizing.

Is this too much to ask? you can say that it is, since i really don't know how hard it would be:) i'm running evan's (i think) beta version of shoes 3 and i feel like the version of the software i have is the only one that had a working clock face display.

once more, all of the new functions make me giddy.

oh and i can't seem to be able to get racers to move from one color to the other, even though there seems to be a button for it. Am i missing something?

I have to say of all the videos I have seen of the opensprints UI the clock face is the best IMO. Emerald Sprints has the best display and use of the clock face as well. It looks like they modded opensprints to their needs.

It would be great if the software was object orientated enough that we could simply set a variable to select between different options on the UI - Bar, Clock, Track.

It won't go full screen automatically, but everything resizes a lot more easily these days, so I would recommend following this guide to getting window that takes up your whole screen. That version of shoes I had with fullscreen got the axe and another version has come out which is much better in a lot of ways, but lacks automatic fullscreen.

As for the clock interface, it was definitely a victim of all the tumultuous changes that brought us better persistence, stats posting, graphic design, one-screen, etc. I know the folks in Lithuania have made a clock interface, but I haven't successfully managed to get the code from them to bring it into the mainstream. I'll ask again, if I can get some contributed code, we could have it a lot faster and better than if I do it alone.

Unfortunately packaging and firmware have been much higher priorities at the moment, but hopefully i can fit in the clock interface.

really? Could you maybe check your error console with alt-/ and tell me what you see ? i was using this feature just this afternoon (the "swap" button)

The swap button goes away on me once i have more than two racers. The swap is there and works fine with two, but it would be awesome to move racers around if there are four. I use four bikes and the autofill option is awesome, but becomes problematic if bill is assigned red and he can't fit the bike due to excessive smallness.

i know i should have gone for smaller frames when i first set up, i'm getting rid of my 58 cm asap:)

The batch of 42B races got Ryan hooked on running things with the tournament and organization functions of the software which I never bothered to work into the Emerald clock interface, so so sadly it's been dead in the water since the westside invite / metal sprints. My final incarnation was an improvement on the last youtube vid I posted though.

Maybe I'll dig into the new software one of these days and try to create something a little more scalable and compliant to share.

Clock face is getting very close to completion. I am pretty happy with the updates I did over the weekend. Here is a screen shot.

Here is a video to see how you can customize the look of the dial.

i've played around with egisat's version and i like it. I mean, it is the clockface i have been waiting for. not to be that guy, but is there any chance you can put up an English version?

Or i can just shut up and dig through the code, but i'm kind of pushing my skills as it is.

Goldsprints FX looks pretty sexy, i would love to play around with the beta, as long as there are instructions on how to get all the software together and such things.

    i know, n00b.

New feature added based on some feedback from Pete at COG Magazine. Now you can Fully skin the clock face. Check out the video here. http://www.goldsprintsfx.org/2010/02/01/goldsprints-fx-full-clock-face-skinning/

    Cheers,
