    Hi Luke,

I have been unable to do the OpenSprints installation properly without getting errors. Using the pen drive method, i had got thru the booting up of Linux using the pen drive. However, i have been getting into errors while inputting Opensprints into the OS. I had installed the Opensprint Software manually and the current version i have is 0.1-2. I tried doing the update(upgrade to the latest version), but was shown an error:
    " opensprints:
Depends: sun-java6-jre but it is not installable"

    Looking to seek your advise!!:)

As part of the installation steps make sure you see these settings when you go to System-->Administration-->Software Sources

If you don't have (multiverse) checked before you install opensprints -- you will get that error.

We're doing an event tonight and looking to get something more solid than what we've got going now.

Data from previous events seems to be locked into the stats menu, causing the stats to be incorrect for the current event.

I have done the following from the menu side-to no avail:
-deleted all prior events from the event page
-deleted data from the data page

    PC platform: Linux -Ubuntu 9.10
    Using Pre-assembled Kit
    Using version 0.6-6

I have begun using different names for people, adding a prefix or suffix to their name. Not a good fix, but seems to work for now.

If I change the name of the racer after a race, it does not affect their position on the stats board.

If I show finished races, delete a race- then show stats, it shows their win/losses as zero- seemingly fixing the issue. When I race another race with same racers, their wins/losses are again shown from previous events.

The thing that is most annoying, is if the distance is changed, the top time will be shown. If in one of the events it is pulling data from- the racer raced a 200m vs 400m race, the time is obviously screwed up.

i upgraded ubunto and cant find any of the 42/below opensprints programs to do roller races. i am not very linux savay, so is there a way to find it? i found a folder that said opensprints but all of the files inside were empty. did i screw up royally? i have roller races tomorrow night...help?

i was trying to upgrade the system to get rid of the 42below skins and get a better race display.

thanks in advance for any help!
