Now that I have ordered my assembled kit tonight I am trying to figure out what to do about rollers. I really like the Kreitler OpenSprints Edition Goldsprints Rollers but a few questions.

Does the OpenSprints Edition allow me to run a front roller if I wanted to? (Yes I know it only comes with 2 rollers per frame) I can't really tell if that is possible from the photos on the site. I would like to not use the fork stand for my training. Looking at this photo...

... it looks like the part that hold the front roller just slides over the frame. Does that part maybe come with the OpenSprints kit maybe? If not can you work out a deal with Kreitler so we can buy them? They are not list as a part on their website.

Will you ever sell the OpenSprints Edition in parts? 1k is a lot right now but getting one now and one in a few weeks is doable. Sure I could save up but I want to test now. :) Also the advantage of selling the system in two parts allow upgrade to 3 rigs before going to a full 4.

I think those are all the questions I have now.

Also, for those of us maybe wanting to convert but having the roller drums already, can you buy just the roller stands and not the drums?

I was able to get in contact with someone at Kreitler. They answered many of the questions I had last week.

Adapting the Goldsprints system to full roller riding is not possible. Parts from the frame like the image I posed above will not fit the Goldsprints system. If you look at the photo I posted above those sliders for the front roller are too high off the ground. Basically your only option is to buy the frame only and use the rollers from the Goldsprints system.

And last the entire kit is the only option right now to purchase. The Goldsprints rig is not on the Kreitler store yet but you can purchase it directly from them by calling to place your order.

Kreitler does have it on their site as part number KT-16000 but it is the same price and shipping time as if you bought it directly from the OpenSprints store. We forward your order to Kreitler that same day.

The only difference is who gets the commission. Either it goes to Kreitler (who are great people with great products) or it goes to OpenSprints LLC who in turn will use it to cover OpenSprints hardware / software development and support costs. The choice is yours, there is no wrong one.

Yep, see it there now. It wasn't when they email me about my questions.

Definitely get it from Opensprints people. Need to support the cause!

Anybody know a cheap place to get the knobs that come with the Kreitler Goldsprint setup?

I would like to replace the allen bolt/wingnut combo, but have not found an affordable alternative.

I would suggest contacting Kreitler directly. They could probably sell you some replacement parts, or at least give you the specs for sourcing one.

What is the issue with them? What would your ideal replacement be?

If the allen bolt could be replaced with a knob similar to what the Kreitler stands are using now, I wouldn't need an allen key and it would make setup/breakdown/adjusting a faster process. Not a big deal, but I'm looking to increase speed and efficiency in setup and break down.
